How to maintain the crawler guide wheel of excavator correctly?
(1) The track maintains proper tension
If the tension is too high, the spring tension of the guide wheel acts on the track pin and the pin sleeve, the outer circle of the pin and the inner circle of the pin sleeve are always subject to high extrusion stress, and the pin and the pin sleeve are worn prematurely during operation. At the same time, the elastic force of the tension spring of the guide wheel also acts on the guide axle and the shaft sleeve, resulting in a large surface contact stress, which makes the guide axle sleeve easy to grind into a semicircle, The track pitch is easy to lengthen, and it will reduce the mechanical transmission efficiency and waste the power from the engine to the driving wheel and track.
If the tension of the track is too loose, the track is easy to break away from the guide wheel and the roller, and the track loses the correct alignment, which makes the running track fluctuate, beat and impact, and causes the abnormal wear of the guide wheel and the roller.
The tension of the track is adjusted by adding grease to the oil nozzle of the tension cylinder or discharging grease from the oil nozzle, referring to the standard clearance of each model. When the pitch of the track joint lengthens to the point where a group of track joints need to be removed, the meshing surface of the driving gear tooth surface and the pin sleeve will also be subject to abnormal wear. At this time, appropriate treatment should be carried out before the meshing condition deteriorates, such as turning over the pin and the pin sleeve, replacing the excessively worn pin and the pin sleeve, and replacing the track joint assembly.
(2) Keep the idler position in the center
The guide wheel misalignment has a serious impact on other parts of the walking mechanism, so adjusting the gap between the guide plate of the guide wheel and the crawler frame (correcting the misalignment) is the key point to extend the service life of the walking mechanism. When adjusting, use the gasket between the guide plate and the bearing to correct. If the clearance is large, remove the gasket; The clearance is small, add gasket. The standard clearance is 0.5-1.0 mm, and the maximum allowable clearance is 3.0 mm.
(3) Turn over the track pin and pin sleeve at the right time
In the wear process of the track pin and the pin sleeve, the track pitch is gradually lengthened, resulting in poor meshing between the driving wheel and the pin sleeve, resulting in the damage of the pin sleeve and abnormal wear of the driving gear tooth surface, which will cause hunting and slapping.
