2. Keep the idler position centered

The misalignment of the guide wheel has a serious impact on other walking mechanism parts. Therefore, adjusting the gap between the guide plate of the guide wheel and the crawler frame is the key to prolong the service life of the walking mechanism. During adjustment, use the gasket between the guide plate and the bearing to correct. If the gap is large, remove the gasket; If the clearance is small, add shims. The standard clearance of bulldozer maintenance method is 0.5 ~ 1.0mm, and the maximum allowable clearance is 3.0mm. Turn over the track pin and the pin sleeve at an appropriate time.

During the wear process of the track pin and the pin sleeve, the track pitch is gradually lengthened, resulting in poor engagement between the drive wheel and the pin sleeve, resulting in damage of the pin sleeve and abnormal wear of the drive gear tooth surface, which will cause hunting, slapping and impact, and greatly shorten the service life of the traveling mechanism. When the pitch cannot be recovered by adjusting the tension, it is necessary to turn over the track pin and pin sleeve to obtain the correct track pitch. There are two methods to determine the turnover of track pin and pin sleeve on site: one method is to check and determine that the track pitch is lengthened by 3mm; Another method is to check that the outer diameter of the pin sleeve is worn by 3mm.


3. Bolts and nuts shall be tightened in time

When the bolt of the traveling mechanism is loose, it is easy to break or lose, causing a series of faults. The following bolts shall be checked for routine maintenance: mounting bolts of supporting roller and supporting roller, mounting bolts of driving gear block, mounting bolts of track shoe, mounting bolts of supporting roller guard plate and mounting bolts of diagonal brace head.


4. Timely lubrication

The lubrication of traveling mechanism is very important. Many roller bearings are "burned" and scrapped because of oil leakage. It is generally considered that there may be oil leakage in the following 5 places: oil leakage from the outside of the retaining ring to the shaft due to the poor or damaged O-ring between the retaining ring and the shaft; Oil leakage between the outside of the retaining ring and the supporting roller due to poor contact of the floating seal ring or defect of the O-ring; Oil leakage between bushing and roller due to poor O-ring between roller and bushing; Oil leakage occurs at the oil filler plug due to loose oil filler plug or damaged seat hole of conical plug seal; Due to the poor O-ring, there is oil leakage between the cover and the roller. Therefore, pay attention to check the above parts at ordinary times, and add and replace them regularly according to the lubrication cycle of each part.


5. Check for cracks

When maintaining the bulldozer, check the cracks of the traveling mechanism in time, and repair and strengthen the welding in time
