The test of excavator equipment will be more severe than usual. In winter construction, although the chassis part is all iron guys, it is also the easiest to be ignored, so! For excavators, the correct maintenance of excavator chassis is particularly important!
The chassis of the excavator is mainly divided into:
Track Roller, top roller, idler, sprocket and track link
Commonly known as "four wheel belt"
Track Roller
In daily work, it is necessary to avoid the roller soaking in mud, ice and snow for a long time;
After every day's work, the unilateral track should be propped up to drive the walking motor to throw away the dirt and other debris on the track;
Especially in winter construction, the roller must be kept dry. If there is water in the roller, it will form ice at night; when moving the excavator the next day, the floating seal between the roller and the shaft will be scratched and cause oil leakage.

2. Carrier roller
At ordinary times, we should keep the X frame slope platform clean, do not let the soil accumulate too much; otherwise, it will lead to difficult rotation of the carrier roller.
Just like the roller, avoid the carrier roller soaking in mud.
The carrier sprocket is filled with lubricating oil at one time. If there is oil leakage, the carrier roller can only be replaced with a new one

The tension spring assembly is composed of spring and tension cylinder. The tension cylinder needs regular oil discharge and filling.
Oil drain: loosen the grease nozzle of tension cylinder at most one circle, and the grease will be squeezed out from the oil drain; the operator must stand on the side to prevent the grease nozzle from being ejected, causing casualties.
Oiling: tighten the grease nipple and use the grease gun for oiling until the track is tensioned to a proper position.

4. sprocket
One side of the sprocket must always be in the rear. If the sprocket walks in front, it will not only cause abnormal wear to the driving ring gear and chain rail, but also cause early cracking of X frame.
Open the guard plate of walking motor regularly to clean the dirt inside. When the traveling motor guard plate protects the motor, some soil and gravel will be stored in it. The water in the soil may corrode the joint of the motor oil pipe, and the gravel may interfere with the oil pipe, causing wear and oil leakage.
When changing the final drive oil, park the excavator on the flat ground, turn the final drive to the oil drain, which is at the bottom and perpendicular to the ground. When refueling, tighten the oil drain nut, refuel from the upper oil filler, and then the oil flows out from the middle observation port.

5. track chain
Avoid walking on gravel for a long time. Walking for a long time is easy to lead to the bending deformation of the track shoe, and even the cracking of the bolt fixing part of the track shoe.
The tension of the track should be proper. The maximum vertical distance between the track shoe and the long rod is generally 15-30mm. Too tight track tension will cause early wear of chain link, ring gear and idler.
