In order to ensure that the axial pitch meets certain accuracy requirements, the hobbing method is the correct method. In addition, the helix angle error will be the main reason for the unequal axial pitch. This will reduce the contact length in the tooth width direction and affect the work balance. Therefore, the smaller the helix angle error, the better. It should not exceed 4 seconds and try to be consistent. Gear pairs that mesh with each other should be processed on the same machine tool with the same set of change gears as much as possible.
2. When machining the arc sprocket, the deviation of the pitch and the cutting depth will directly affect the contact position of the gear, resulting in a reduction in its carrying capacity and affecting its service life.
The tooth surface curve formed by the arc gear is consistent with the tooth profile curve of the knife, and is not entirely the envelope of the blade movement track. Therefore, the tooth profile accuracy and tooth surface roughness of the parts are directly related to the accuracy of the knife, especially the finished parts after the knife is reground, and the grinding quality needs to be controlled. In addition, when processing a pair of conjugate gears, two hobs are required, convex and concave, and since the arc teeth have no undercut, the number of min teeth of the gear can be slightly smaller.
3. The arc sprocket gear has good running-in performance. After assembly, the manufacturing error caused by the knife can be run-in by proper loading, and the initial point contact quickly expands to the surface contact. However, the key is to pay attention to the dimensional accuracy and position accuracy of the outer diameter when processing the tooth blank.
