Introduction to the three characteristics of electric hydraulic pumps

Dec 20, 2020

The drive shaft of an electric hydraulic pump cannot accept radial and axial forces, so it is not allowed to directly install pulleys, gears, and sprockets at the shaft end. A coupling is usually used to connect the drive shaft and the pump drive shaft. If the coaxiality of the pump and the coupling is overrun due to the production, and there is an error during assembly, the centrifugal force will increase the deformation of the coupling as the speed of the pump increases. The large deformation will increase the centrifugal force and form a vicious circle, resulting in oscillation noise , Thereby affecting the service life of the hydraulic electric pump. In addition, if the coupling pin is loose and not tightened in time, and the rubber ring is not replaced in time, it will also affect the service life of the hydraulic electric pump.

The electric hydraulic pump is used as an intermediate medium in the hydraulic transmission system to transfer and transform energy. Together, it also plays the role of smoothing, anti-corrosion, cooling, and scouring of the various parts of the electric hydraulic pump. Its main functions are:

1. Outstanding anti-foam and air release: In the hydraulic oil tank of the electric hydraulic pump, because the air bubbles mixed in the oil circulate with the oil, not only will the pressure of the system drop, the smooth condition will deteriorate, and abnormal noise will also occur. , Oscillation, in addition, air bubbles increase the contact area between oil and air, and accelerate the oxidation of oil. Therefore, hydraulic oil is required to have outstanding anti-foaming and air release properties;

2. Outstanding anti-shear stability: because when hydraulic oil passes through electric hydraulic pumps and valves to save ports and gaps, it has to experience severe shearing action, causing some macromolecular polymers in the oil, such as molecules of tackifiers, to crack. Become a small molecule, which reduces the viscosity. When the viscosity drops to a certain level, the oil can no longer be used, so it is required to have outstanding shear resistance;

3. Outstanding oxidation resistance: The hydraulic oil will also be oxidized during use. The acidic substance generated after the hydraulic oil is oxidized will increase the corrosiveness of the metal. The generated sludge deposits will block the filter and small gaps, making the hydraulic The system is not working properly, so electric hydraulic pumps are required to have outstanding oxidation resistance.
